Social Media Assistant | New York

What You Would Do:
- Oversee all social media accounts for food & beverage, hospitality or lifestyle
brands – Facebook, Instagram, and Tiktok, as well as publishing dashboards
(such as Hootsuite, Later) - Create content calendars (static posts, Reels and TikTok videos) and manage
regular posting - Monitor and respond to comments and direct messages in a timely manner
- Review analytics to assess success and recommend improvements for future
ads - Manage all promotions and advertisements
- Develop strategies to increase followership and engagement
- Take photos and videos at monthly filmings
- Manage business listings and presentation and customer communications on
platforms such as Yelp and Google My Business - Work with Project Managers to develop short-term and long-term marketing
strategies and seasonal promotions to promote in-store and online sales - Work with the team to create large social media campaigns
What We are Looking For:
- Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with clients, managers, and
sales people - Creative and self-motivated individuals (no, you won’t have anyone breathing
down your neck) - Team player – You work well as part of a team, and are willing to take direction,
but can be trusted to get things done on your own - Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills.
- Hardworking and tenacious in completing assigned projects
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in social media management
- Have strong and clear written communication skills and an ability to capture
brand voice, uphold grammatical and spelling standards, and maintain an upbeat
tone - Strong functional knowledge of social media principles, practices, and the desire
to apply that knowledge in a professional environment - Familiarity with social media channels including but not limited to Instagram,
TikTok, Facebook, Youtube, etc - Strong knowledge of trends and pop culture, and ability to be creative in ideating
and generating social media content - Ability to work well and quickly under pressure both individually and as a part of a
team - Excellent project management skills to consistently meet deadlines
- Proficiency with graphic design applications including Canva, Photoshop and
video editing software is a plus! - Basic filming and editing skills to create short-form content is a plus!
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week (full time)

Later - Assist Social Media Assistants and Project Managers to manage business listing
and profile, and customer communication on Yelp and Google - Conduct market research and prepare data reports
- Work closely with Social Media Assistants and Project Managers to develop
marketing strategies and promotion ideas for clients
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with social media channels including but not limited to Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, etc

- Performing research on digital trends in both design and marketing context and applying them in the most effective and relevant manner
- Presenting problem solving techniques and methods with design tools
